We have been touting the much-anticipated arrival of Milestones Restaurants, a leading Canadian restaurant chain, to Quebec for a few years now. Well, thanks to the team at Foodtastic, this exceptional dining experience has arrived at Fairview-Pointe Claire. A location at Place Bell in Laval will follow in early 2024 followed by spots in Montreal East, the South Shore and beyond.
Foodtastic is headed by brothers Lawrence and Peter Mammas and has a large portfolio of 23 brands, more than 1,100 restaurants and nearly $1 billion in system sales
The new Pointe-Claire location boasts an impressive 6,000 square feet of contemporary space, including a spacious patio area. With 220 guest accommodations inside and an additional 80 seats on the seasonal patio, this location offers ample space for diners to relax and indulge in an extraordinary culinary experience.
The construction of this state-of-the-art restaurant required a significant investment, with a total cost of $2.7 million. This commitment to creating a remarkable dining destination exemplifies Milestones’ dedication to providing customers with an unforgettable experience.
We were fortunate enough to get a sneak peek before the official opening and then join an influencers’ evening for some more tastings. The two experiences provided us with a good picture of what diners here can look forward to. We were pleased to talk to head chef Derek Collie, a noted caterer in the West End of Montreal who seems to fit like a glove here. Over the summer he spent several weeks at the three Ottawa Milestones locations to really get a handle on the preparation methods. Chris Lovelace, the regional operations manager for Eastern Ontario, New Brunswick and now Quebec, spent a few weeks here in August and September and was joined by staffers from across the country. There has clearly been no stone left unturned here to make sure the chain succeeds here.
We enjoyed some delicious 7-ounce sirloin steaks with crispy parmesan fries and seasonal vegetables, the salmon tartare and cakes by the ocean appetizers and decadent white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. There is a large alcohol selection. We look forward to returning to explore more from the menu, which also includes seafood, artisanal pasta, chicken, ribs, burgers and a children’s menu.
