Hockey fans have their game-night rituals, and for plenty of them, a hot dog is part of the deal. The Bell Centre has given its familiar version a makeover for the 2026–27 Canadiens season, switching to a thicker Lafleur Bar-B-Q sausage made from chicken, pork and beef. A vegetarian option is also available, so the classic snack has room for different appetites.
The bun has changed as well. Instead of the traditional steamed bun, the new version is toasté, with more butter to keep it moist while adding a little crispness to the outside. The other good news for anyone counting arena prices is that the hot dog remains $5.25, the same price as last season. It’s a small makeover, but one that doesn’t ask fans to pay more for the game-night staple.
But the hot dog isn’t the only change. La Classique counters on the 100 and 300 levels now serve chili cheese fries, while a CHarbon counter at M2 Marché Montréal Loto-Québec offers ribs, chicken wings and mac and cheese. Draught cocktails are available throughout the venue, and several arena restaurants have refreshed their menus. Fans now have more options, though the hot dog still gets top billing.
