Everyone knows that brunch is more than a weekend activity in Montreal; it’s essentially a ritual. And for those looking for their new go-to spot, Renoir offers the perfect blend of gastronomy and conviviality.
Nestled in the heart of downtown at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, Renoir captures the elegance and savoir-faire of French hospitality while celebrating the richness and creativity of Quebec cuisine. From the moment guests arrive, the warm ambiance, elegant décor, and attentive service set the stage for nothing short of a refined experience.
Under the guidance of Executive Chef Olivier Perret and Pastry Chef Paul Peyrat, Renoir is committed to using seasonal, high-quality local ingredients, working closely with Quebec artisans and producers to create an authentic and refined culinary experience.

On Sundays, Renoir boasts its highly acclaimed buffet, offering a generous selection of hot and cold dishes crafted from market-fresh ingredients. Standout items include the contre-filet with Montreal spices and gratin dauphinois, alongside the eggs Benedict, and the iconic Renoir waffles. Each dish celebrates the perfect harmony of French gastronomy and Quebec authenticity.
Renoir’s brunch is a must-visit destination, where guests are invited to discover Montreal through the lens of French elegance and Quebecois creativity, offering a culinary journey that celebrates the art de vivre.
Renoir reopened to the public last summer after a complete redesign. I have been back for dinner and a pre-holiday tasting event for social media influencers. Chef Perret suggested I try the brunch. So, on a recent Sunday in the company of my mom, I did just that. We took advantage of the valet parking. Brunch starts at 11:30 am and in no time at all, the dining room was full. Executive Sous-chef Félix Duquet provided a warm greeting and took full advantage of the feast waiting for us.
The price is $80 per person and $39 for children 12 and under
